To help my students overcome the dread of writing (and fear of failure), I created Monday Musings. Each week, I asked students to respond to a simple prompt. Some weeks, it was a written prompt. Other times, it was a piece of art or a video clip.

In this post, we’ll explore the concept of creativity and why it matters in education, particularly for gifted students. We’ll also provide some ideas and strategies for using creativity to support and engage gifted brains.
There are lots of ways to stimulate your imagination and you don’t have to be an artist, writer, musician, or inventor to benefit from an imagination boost. Creativity and imagination are essential because they foster new ideas, alternatives, and possibilities that can be used in academics, problem solving, critical thinking, and real life situations.
